Our volunteers really make a difference!!!

The success of The Oak Tree Corner is due to our volunteers. They are extensively trained to facilitate groups, understand their own grief, make our families feel at home, and generally support the work of The Oak Tree Corner. Our volunteers come from all walks of life and contribute at least five hours each month to the program.

A one year commitment is required from all volunteers. We offer training for new volunteers in August and January each year. No professional counseling background is required, but a desire to work with children is essential. Background checks are required for our volunteers.
